Stand Our Ground: Poems for Trayvon Martin and Marissa Alexander is a global anthology of social justice poetry edited by Ewuare X. Osayande featuring the work of 65 poets from Africa, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Canada and all across the United States including poet icons Sonia Sanchez, Amiri Baraka, Haki Madhubuti and Askia Toure.
On February 23, 2014 Ewuare X. Osayande will lead a reading and discussion of the book that will headline poets in the book. The event is free. The book will be on sale ($25). All proceeds from the sale of the book are being donated to the Trayvon Martin Foundation and the Legal Defense Fund for Marissa Alexander.
