Henbane was formed in the summer of 2023 by Kohoutek percussionist Scott Verrastro and bassist Griffin Vernor Drutchas based on the framework of 1968-1970 Fairport Convention, covering a repertoire of traditional British Isles folk ballads, lyrical gems from '60s and '70s songwriters, and original compositions. Like Fairport, Henbane aims to adapt traditional ballads to contemporary times with their own arrangements. The quintet also features vocalist Eva Sheppard, guitarist John Comune (Bitter Wish/Strawberry Hands) and violinist John Coursey (The Deadeyes/Kohoutek). The band has shared stages with Gwenifer Raymond, E, Frank Hurricane, Elkhorn and Flash Hits. Henbane will be entering the studio at the end of January to record its debut LP.

Red Birds are a three piece Alternative Folk band from Elkton, MD. Singer-songwriter & bassist, Zoë August is joined by her husband, Dan August on guitars, and long time friend, Sam Williamson on drums. The trio's varying influences meet somewhere between 90's Indie Rock and Appalachian Folk. Zoë's working class tunes about loss, love, and coping put Red Birds firmly in the house that Patsy Cline and Hazel Dickens built, but they also find comfort in the company of Elliot Smith, Ida, and Jason Molina. Red Birds have spent a lot of time in the studio recently. Two singles off their third full length record, “Crickets” and “Pink to Black” are streaming everywhere.

Song People was formed in December of 2022 by core members of the Philadelphia-based music collective Edible Onion, the product of over a decade of ongoing musical collaboration.
Vocalist Shaina Kapeluck began her musical life as a ballad singer, drawing from traditions of the British Isles, the US and Maritime Canada. Darian Scatton’s rhythmic, arpeggiated guitar melodies are informed by his background as a pedal harpist, and bassist Ben Schurr has one foot in industrial post punk and the other in Motown.
They released their debut LP, « Like Somebody Calling Your Name, » on Don Giovanni Records last October, and will return to the studio in April to record the next one.
